Nakon ljetnih praznika đaci su se opet vratili u školske klupe. Danas, 02. rujna 2013. počela je nastava u osnovnim i srednjim školama diljem Hrvatske pa tako i u Zlataru. Za sve učenike škola je počela okupljanjem u prostorima Osnovne Škole Ante Kovačića Zlatar u 08:00 sati. Nakon toga su se učenici zajedno sa svojim učiteljicama i učiteljima uputili na svetu misu u crkvu Uznesenja BDM Zlatar koju je predvodio novi zlatarski župnik vlč. Dragutin Cerovečki. Svetoj misi prisustvovao je i zlatarski gradonačelnik Stanko Majdak koji ovim putem svim učenicima i djelatnicima želi sretnu i uspješnu školsku godinu te onim najmlađima poručuje da hrabro koračaju kroz školske hodnike i novu eru svog života
